CONDITIONS OF SALE

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

BIDDING AT AUCTION, WHETHER PRESENT IN PERSON, OR REPRESENTED BY AN AGENT, ABSENTEE BID, OR TELEPHONE BID,

CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THE FOLLOWING TERMS.

1. All property is sold 'AS IS'. All sales are final. ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS.

CRN Auctions and its Consignors make no guarantee for the correctness of description of authenticity of authorship, physical condition, rarity, or provenance of a property.

If within 14 days of the sale of any lot of artwork, the purchaser gives notice in writing to us that the lot is counterfeit and provides a letter from two persons deemed as authorities, the purchaser may return the lot to us; if that lot is in the same condition as when sold, we will refund the purchase price.

2. A buyer's premium of 15% will be charged as part of the total purchase price.

3. We reserve the right to withdraw any property prior to the auction.

4. We reserve the right to reject any bid. The highest bidder acknowledged by the Auctioneer will be the purchaser. In the event of a dispute, the auctioneer will determine the successful bidder, and if the lot will be re-offered. If any dispute arises after the sale, our sale records are conclusive.

5. As a service to our clients, we will execute absentee bids and accept telephone bids for those who are not present;
however, we are not responsible for any errors or omission in regards to such bids.  Please ensure you submit all such bids in good time prior to the sale.  Bids submitted at an unsuitable time may not be accepted.

6. When the Auctioneer announces a lot as 'sold', title to that item will pass to the highest bidder, who then assumes full responsibility. CRN Auctions is not responsible for damages incurred by packers or carriers of purchased lots. Packing and handling of purchased lots by CRN is at the risk of the purchaser. We will not be liable for damage to glass or frames, regardless of the cause. Shipping of purchased items is the responsibilty of the purchaser, unless previous arrangements have been made with CRN Auctions.

7.  There will be a storage charge of $10 per day for items not collected within 2 weeks following the auction unless there are special circumstances made known to CRN Auctions.  CRN Auctions is not responsible for any damage to lots after the fall of the hammer. At trucker is on hand at the auction with whom arrangements may be made for delivery.

8. Unless the buyer has a Massachusetts Sales Tax Exemption number, the purchaser must pay a 5% Massachusetts sales tax. Exemption numbers from other states are not accepted in the state of Massachusetts.
